This unique and exotic Imari was made at the end of the Edo period.In the early Edo period, when the Shogunate was in power, there were few works depicting the Dutch. Towards the end of the Edo period, when the power of the Shogunate was weakened, Dutch people and Dutch boats were actively depicted on pottery and ukiyoe prints.
